वैराग्य और प्रेम के लिए कोई तिथि निर्धारित नहीं होती

एक स्त्री अपने मायके (पिता के घर) से अपने ससुराल (पति के घर) लौटी और अपने पति से कह रही थी - "मेरा भाई विरक्त हो गया है। वह अगली दीपावली पर दीक्षा लेकर साधु बनने वाला है । अभी से उसने तैयारी सुरू करदी है ।वह अपनी संपत्ति की उचित व्यवस्था बनाने में लगा है।

पति अपने सिर के बाल पाकड़ कर हँसने लगा ।पत्नी ने पूछा -"तुम हँसे क्यों ? हँसने की क्या बात थी ? "
पति बोला - " बाकी सब तो ठीक है , किन्तु तुम्हारे भाई का वैराग्य बहुत अद्भुत लगा । वैराग्य हो गया है ,दीक्षा लेने की तिथि अभी निश्चित हुई है और वह सम्पति की उचित व्यवस्था में लगा है ।भौतिक संपत्ति में बुद्धि और इस उत्तम काम  में भी इतनी दूर की योजना - इस प्रकार की तैयारी करके त्याग नहीं हुआ करता ।त्याग तो सहज होता है।
पत्नी को बुरा लगा ।बह बोली -"इतने ज्ञानी हो  तो तुम्ही वैराग्य क्यों नहीं ले लेते ?
पति ने हंसते  हुए कहा - "मैं बस तुम्हारी ही अनुमति की प्रतीक्षा में था।" उसने अपने वस्त्र उतारे और एक धोती मात्र पहनकर घर से निकल पड़ा ।
पत्नी ने समझा कि वह  परिहास कर रहा है और थोड़ी देर में लौट आयेगा ,परन्तु वह लौटने के लये नहीं गया  था । सच है कि वैराग्य के लिए कोई तिथि  निर्धारित  नहीं की जाती ,वह तो सहज ही हो जाती है।।

A woman returned to her mother-in-law (father's house) to her in-laws (husband's house) and told her husband - "My brother is disgusted. He is about to become a monk by taking initiation on the next Diwali. From now on he prepared  Start is a taxpayer. He is engaged in making proper arrangements for his property.

 The husband started laughing after getting his head hair. The wife asked - "Why did you laugh? What was the matter of laughing?"

 The husband said - "Everything else is fine, but your brother's disinterest is very amazing. He has become disinterested, the date of initiation has just been fixed and he is engaged in proper arrangement of wealth. Wisdom and this fine work in physical property.  Even in such a distant plan - by doing this kind of preparation, there is no abandonment. Abandonment is easy.

 The wife got a sack. She said - "If you are so knowledgeable, why don't you take recluse?"

 The husband laughingly said - "I was just waiting for your permission."  He took off his clothes and came out of the house wearing only a dhoti.

 The wife understood that he was laughing and would return in a while, but he did not go to return.  True, no date is set for restlessness, it becomes easy.
